Description
A pencil shaded version for the contest. Hope you likey
Now i know i made quite a few of mistakes, especially anatomically but let it be a lesson to me. I'm 15, I've still got a lot to learn^_^
FULL VIEW FOR ALL THE DETAILS!!!!
By the way he isn't flying, i thought i might as well add a background and there you go. I'm quite pleased with approx. 8 hours of work all together. Tell me what you think...
Ok so let me tell you more about this. I got inspired to do this when i saw Frak Frazetta's work. His work just fascinated me and i thought this contest was a good place to practice his sort of shading style. I dont think ive come anywhere near close to his style though, especially the overdone outlines i gave to this. Im gonna try Oils on canvas like he did though, it'd be interesting to see what i can come up with.
I feel like i need to practice background A LOT more but i guess its good that i didnt add too much detail on this one's because it adds more focus to the main subject ( the prince, if you havent noticed yet...)
So do please tell me what you think and tell me what i could improve on
Some mistakes i recognised ive made is the length of the leg, the bending inwards of his right leg to much (yes, i over did it) and the lower background looks more like water than solid ground to me. Thats just a few, but ill see if you can spot any more. Oh and by the way i used different light sources on thebackground and the character to separate them a bit. If i didnt do that hed look completely glued to the background making it look as if hes flying as ive said above.
